"Stand By Me" – Playing For Change

This video encapsulates the true feeling of the term “world music.”  Local musicians from around the world are recorded and blended together into a version of “Stand By Me.”  These are your everyday musicians playing on the street or part of a community drum circle.

The organization that put this together Playing For Change, does employ more recognized names like David Crosby (Crosby, Stills and Nash), but many of the musicians involved with the organization are artists who are just performing in their communities.
